My Story

I qualified as a Primary School Teacher specialising in 3-7 years and English Education in 2010. Since then I have worked in many schools within London and Surrey. I have a passion for early education and have spent much of my career teaching in Reception classes as Early Years Lead. In a recent OFSTED inspection I achieved Outstanding for Early Years which I am extremely proud of. I am also very proud to be Mummy to three children who are 9, 7 and 3 years old.

The teaching of reading and specifically the teaching of phonics has always been a specialism of mine. I believe every child deserves the best start in their reading journey and that with the right tools, teaching and resources all children can achieve their full potential. I am passionate about ensuring that children can thrive regardless of their starting points and ensure everything I teach is tailored to suit neurodivergent children as well as neurotypical.

I created The Sound Seekers after teaching reading for many years in schools. I wanted to create a programme that not only achieves results for children but that is also engaging, exciting and story based. I want children to be excited to watch my sessions and to be part of The Sound Seekers.
